Yamaha EMP700Yamaha EMP700 - multi fx This is quite a nice box for the price they go for. The reverbs are probably the low point, though they're usable- especially for more lo-fi purposes. Nothing jaw-dropping here by today's standards, but definitely a good budget box for some interesting fx. There are two fx blocks available in each program (one effect per block)- the "dynamics" block has graphic eq, compressor, parametric eg, enhancer, wah (filter), phaser, overdrive, and compressor+distortion+eq (serial) effects, and the "reverb" block has chorus, flange, symphonic, panner, hyper modulation delay, triple pitch shift, stereo pitch shift, reverb, gated reverb, early reflections, after delay, mono delay, stereo modulation delay, multi-tap delay, reverb+delay (parallel), pitch shift+reverb (parallel), pitch shift+reverb (serial), symphonic+reverb (parallel), flanger+reverb (serial), delay+early reflections (serial), and delay+chorus (parallel) effects. The effects are all very editable, though you sacrifice some editing depth in the serial and parallel effects. EMP700 links: EMP700 manual @ Yamaha website |
