Not much to say about this one. So unimpressive, I couldn't even find a picture of it. :) Apparently it uses the same 4-operator FM engine as the TX81z, however it has only very limited editing capabilities. It has a number of presets, and you can adjust certain parameters such as "brightness" and volume envelope attack and release times. That said, I have gotten a few usable sounds out of it, and the keyboard seems like it would be ok as a basic controller (I say "seems like" because mine has some missing keys)- it's velocity sensitive, and has pitch & mod wheels. I got it thrown in on a deal with something else I bought, can't say that I'd go out looking for one, especially since the TX can be had so cheap these days. If you come across a similar deal, it's worth checking out if you don't have any other Yamaha FM in your arsenal.
